Saturday Morning Book Review

Hip Tranquil Chick, A Guide to Life On and Off the Yoga Mat, by Kimberly Wilson

I have talked about this book and about the fabulous Kimberly Wilson so much that I thought it was about time to highlight this book in the Saturday Morning Book Review.  Kimberly Wilson lives in the Washington D.C. area and is owner Tranquil Space, as yoga studio, she is a lifestyle coach and mentor, she is an author and podcaster, she has both a clothing and a jewelry line, she is the head of Tranquil Space Foundation, a non-profit organization and, in her spare time, she travels around the country guest teaching yoga classes and knits.  Whew! I usually get tired every time I think about all of the wonderful things that she does.  Hip Tranquil Chick, is Kimberly's first book.  It is fun and cute and has a ton of information in a great little package.  The back cover says it all:

"Lead a Mindfully Extravagant Life

  • Learn yoga sequences for everyday dilemmas
  • Infuse your life with doses of creativity
  • Consciously carve your career path
  • Develop financial finesse
  • Design soulful surroundings
  • Exude your signature style
  • Create community with savvy soirees
  • Expand your global mindset and more! "

There are twelve chapters that expand on each of these topics.  You can read this book all at once or, what is even more fun and rewarding, you can take a chapter a week and get to know the ideas and put your heart into the "Om Work" that Kimberly gives at the end of each chapter.  I think that every female should read this book from young women at the age of sixteen up to those who are 100 and beyond.  And don't forget to tune into Kimberly's weekly podcast which can be found on itunes or at www.hiptranquilchick.com .

Happy Reading,

Laura
